Heaven, is above the world, and there is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth, known as Amenoukihashi, or "Floating Bridge of Heaven" which is made up of many different clouds. Earth, is between Heaven and Yomi, it was where Izanagi and Izanami created Japan. Somewhere on Earth, deep within it, is the border between Yomi and Earth. Yomi is the underworld, and that is where normal humans go when they die, there are demons and many dark spirits in Yomi. Luckily, no random human can just walk into Yomi, because Izanagi sealed it, when he found his wife so disfigured under there, and he learned the true evil of that "realm".
