| Midori had just woken up, in the inn room that he rented. It was noon, and he hadn't rested in a bed in a long time. He was in Kitsune form, but quickly changed into human form. He put a coat and a hat on before he left to explore the city. He didn't know why but he couldn't seem to be able to completely hide his ears, so he wore a hat over them. Midori walked down two flights of stairs before walking out of the inn and walked down the road. He looked at all of the buildings, some restaurants, while thinking to himself, Why do humans have to eat so much? I can easily get by on a meal a day... He stopped when he came across a library, about half of a mile from his inn.
Seeing as his favorite activities were reading, thinking, and sleeping(in that order), Midori decided to take a look inside. The librarian glanced at him as he walked through the door before going back to his book. Midori walked down an aisle, between two book shelves and looked at the titles of some. Not knowing what to chose, he grabbed three books at random, carrying them over to a table. He sat down at the table and began reading one with the title, Near the Horizon.

| Haku shook himself free of him old man form and stood up. He then took on his normal form of a silver haired teen. After setting the book he was reading down he glanced up and cocked his head slightly. I do believe..That all the knowlage in this library is completely..boring. I find no intrest in information I already know. Haku knew it was rude, he didnt care, as he threw the book he had been looking at on the ground. Haku them proceded to walk through the hallways of the Library until he neared the front entrence. As he came close he saw someone walk into the library. A human? Nay, its a Titsune. Intresting..and hidden also. I believe I shall have some fun with this, well, if it proves to be beneifical in the correct way or course. Haku put on a slight smile and walked up to the 'human'. "Why, greetings fellow vistor of this esteemed vault of knowlage. And how, pretell, are you thing O so fine day?" | |

| Midori was too concentrated on reading his book to notice the stranger at first. He thought that he was talking to someone else entirely, before he looked up and realized that they were talking to him. He didn't know quite how to answer the question. "Erm...I am reading today..." was his response. He rarely talked to humans, and hadn't really learned manners. He was able to talk, but mostly enough to get by in a city, and enough to be recognized as a human. He had no social skills.
Not seeing what this being wanted with him, Midori wanted to keep on reading, but also wanted to know what they wanted. He sensed something about him, and his natural caution didn't allow him to take his eyes off of him. Midori finally asked, "What do you want?" He didn't say it in a mean way, as it was a genuine question.

| A wimpy and young human messanger dashed into the library, he has already spread the news everywhere else in the city.
"EVERYONE! EVERYONE! It was amazing! In the great island of Yamato, in the large city of Edo, rumor has spread that there was a battle between to deity going on! Deity we could be worshipping in our daily life! Isn't that amazing, then they mysteriously vanished out of sight, only some people witnessed it all, but it was amazing such power and colors, and everything!!! SPREAD THE NEWS! They were believed to be Aratachi, our Deity of Truth, Balance and Order! As well as our Deity of Protection, Kota!!!" The messanger shouted, as he was in the library.
The "Deity Battle" was now spreading all over the eight islands, nationally apparently. It seemed to have happened the night before the current day here.
The librarian kicked the messanger out of the library. "That is incredible, but there will be no shouting in my library!" The librarian shouted, which was sort of hypocritical...
"Y...Yes ma'am!" The messanger said excitedly, leaving the library shouting, "DEITY BATTLE! DEITY BATTLE! DEITY BATTLE IN EDO!" You could tell more people were gathered around the outside of the library, asking questions and such.
(OOC: I may do this when strange events take place within Japan, I am role playing as a messanger in this post, just be aware of that. xD)

| Haku frowned slightly and cocked his head. Out of annoyance his normal blue eyes began to flash colors again. "Well, I would like to know if you would like to play a game. Well, Its not really a game persay just a little test of...shall we say, knowlage, wisdome, intelligence?" Haku smiled, his eyes settles on the blue again. This one in intresting... At that moment a messenger boy ran into the library shouting something. Haku paid no attention yet contined to stare the 'human' in front of him down. "If your intrested, which I believe you are, I do think this will turn out to be most benifical, profitable, helpfull." Haku then pulled out a slim piece of yellow paper out of his pocket. After retriving a pen from his pocket he proceded to draw on it. After a few minutes Haku passes the paper over to the reading man. "On that partchment is a wonderfully joyfull game. Its name has been long forgotten yet its still played to this day. I wrote down four elements on there. You are to choose one and I will choose another. After that I will give further directions." Haku smiled and ran a hand through his hair. The hair his fingers touched slightly darkened. hmph. With all this excitment Im forgetting to keep up my gise. Haku then glanced at the messenger boy who had entered yet again. If that kid bothers this game I will make him wish he never entered this place... Haku's fingers twitched slightly at the though of being the black colored falcon again. | |

| Midori curiously poked at the paper, cautiously looking at it. He hesitated before touching it, as if it would burn him. After finding it safe, he decided to choose the Japanese element, Aether. "Aether." Midori said, looking at the man curiously. He no longer feared the man, but wondered what he was doing. He picked up the paper and, oddly enough, sniffed at it. The librarian looked at him strangely, but then kept reading. The paper didn't smell like a human. Midori didn't know what this man was. He slowly and cautiously set the paper down, as if expecting to be beaten for his actions, keeping his eyes on the stranger all the while.
"You smell funny." Midori blurted out. He didn't know that that was probably rude, as he had almost no social skills. He then looked around, awkwardly. The librarian giggled for a second in the background.

| Haku frowned at the mans remark. "You Smell." Haku's eyes flashed a dark red momentarly and then turned back again. Haku then smiled and reached to a nearby shelf and picked up a think blue bound book. He threw it rather half heartedly at the man. It hit him in the head and bounced off. "Respect your elders you ungreatfull spirit." Hakus voice was that of old man. Then it quickly changed to the prepubecent voice of the silver haired teen. Haku then smiled and nodded as they choose an element. Haku then picked the circle that represented air. "Now, the object of this game is to completely engross your opponent in the ways of your thinking. In other words your simply trying to make me believe that your element is the strongest of them all. Now this may not seem like much but trust me, this debate will get furiates, heated, jumbled. Now, its your go." | |

| The book thumped against Midori's forehead, leaving a read mark, and knocking his hat off of his head, exposing he ears for a moment. He quickly grabbed his had and held it tightly on his head again. "Wahh~~ ...what did I do?" Midori half asked, half exclaimed, only to be hushed by the librarian. He rubbed his forehead with one hand, then started. "Aether is the best element. It can not be hurt by any other elements because it is the heavens and what lies beyond. And mean smelly people can not hurt it by throwing books at it..." Midori said, half covering his face with the hand that was rubbing his forehead. What did I do? I think this man is crazy. I should get out of here before he tried to hurt me again. Midori thought to himself, but sure enough, his curiosity wouldn't let him leave: he needed to know what the other man would reply with. | |

| Haku smiled slightly and nodded. "Yes, while there may be slight truth in your teidous words here is the correct saying. Air, simple, is the strongest element. Why? You may ask. Think about it. Air is all powerfull, it can put out fire, moves the oceans push the rain, it can crack the earth. Not only does air destroy but it also heals. The lingering burns of earlier fire is soothed by a cool breeze. And as such it also moves and teaches the world. What better element to teach the bird to fly? Or to move a sailing ship, wave a ruling flag or even whisper in the night. While water can be frozen, Fire dimished, earth crumbled. The true master element is the everlasting grace of air. Now that, my friend is a deep answer." Haku leaned back and smiled slightly. Intresting... Being so focused on his words Haku form then began to revert. His left arm began to take a purple tinge to it. Shortly followed by the skin hardening into shiny scales. Haku reached over to itch his arm and when he felt the purple scales he quickly changed back. I must pay more attention to my form shapeing... Haku smiled again. For if he hadnt noticed the changing arm his entire left arm would have reverted into a long purple scaly limb. That would eventually start to spew purple beams of light, lasers if you will, all around him. Oops. My bad. | |

| Midori was listening to the stranger's ramblings about air. After a little while he started to get bored of what he was hearing, but sat tight. Midori say his arm move, then realized that it was changed into a weird dragon-like arm. He flinched and quickly leaned back. I am done with this game! Midori thought to himself. In an instant, he changed back into his Kitsune form and grabbed a single book between his teeth, and sprinted on all fours toward the window, crashing through it. The broken glass cut him a little on his sides and made his thick white fur start to turn a bit red at the ribs. He tried to run as fast as he could away from the library. He didn't care if he attracted too much attention from people or not - he would outrun anyone who might try to persue or capture him. | |

| Haku jumped up as the Spirit transformed into an animal form. "What the... They didnt even finish the game! And yo worse they took the book I was reading." Haku's eyes flashed a red color all his cheeryness left him as he jumped onto the ground. As he landed he was a large silver wolf. He spritned out the window the man had just jumped through and took off after him. Haku paused only a little while to catch the scent then resumed his hunt. After a few minutes Haku suddenly stopped. Haku sighed. "This is pointless. Besides, I am bored with this anyway." Without waiting Haku transformed into a form of a tall dark skined man with long redish hair. "I guess its time to see if anyone else wants to test my wisdom." Haku said smiling. | |

| After running a little bit, and recieving many awkward stares, and hearing gasps, Midori slowed to a trot. With the book still between his teeth, he circled the building and followed his sense of smell to find the 'smelly' man again. After a few seconds, Midori cautiously came up from behind, about ten meters away. He noted the librarian examining the broken window and an iota of blood. He then remembered his wounds and decided to be cautious. Slowly walking up to the man from behind, he stopped about five meters away. He waited there for the man to either turn around, or keep walking. The book was still held, tightly clamped between Midori's teeth. He slowly inched a litle closer every few seconds, until he was only about four meters away. He positioned himself, as if preparing to run away again if the man tried anything. | |

| Haku turned slightly and saw out the corner of his eye a little fox like creature. "Ah ha! So youve come back to ruin my games again have you? Well fine! See if I care..." Haku turned and crossed his arms. As he did his stomach began to grow larger and larger getting huge. Bulging for a minute or so Haku turned to face the fox. "See what you've done? Put me in a temper you have. Pfft. Thanks ever so much." Haku glanced upward and snorted. Lets see if this little gise works shall we...I really want the book back... "If you dont mind I want my book back and I would like an apology for taking my things and ruining my game." As he spoke his legs began to bulge into think trunks of fat. His arms, fingers and neck began to bulge likewise. "Great now look at me. Im so upset that Im getting huge. Thank you fox human thank you sooo much." Haku snorted again and then sat down on the ground. "Now what am I to do? I cant turn back in this temper. Just give me the book and I will be calm. Come now fox hurry. I dont wanna be huge forever do I?" Haku smiled to himself. After speaking Hakus nose began to push outward and took on a flat shape to it. His ears then grew longer and more flappier. heehee...fool | |

| At first as the creature started to transform slowly, Midori backed away a few steps, but seeing as it didn't appear to want to harm him, he slowly inched his way over to it. By that time drool was dripping from the book to the ground, from being between his teeth for a time. A few of the pages were probably somewhat wet. Midori eventually ended up right in front of the creature, then set it's book down right in front of him. People were screaming an staring at the extremely bizzare disturbance of both the Kitsune and the...fat thing. Midori backed up a few paces and lied down in the road, looking up at the being curiously. He wondered what he was doing - puffing itself up to be huge like that. A hint of laughter was visible in the young Kitsune's eyes, as the large figure looked comical to him. I wonder what is wrong with him? Midori thought to himself. He stood up, getting an idea. Maybe if I bite him, he will pop! And that could cure him by letting all of the air out... he looks rather bloated. ...and with that, Midori charged toward the large being that was sitting down, and bit him on the calf of his leg, hard, hoping to release whatever air might be in it.

| Haku smiled to himself as the fox let go of the book and dropped it to the ground. HA! I knew this would work foolish fox Just then the fox lunged toward Haku and bit him in the thing. "OWWW!! What!?" Haku screamed and jumped into the air; transforming as he did, into the normal boy form. Haku then lost his balance and landed on the ground. "You foolish, unranked, unmasked fox human! Look what you did! Bit me! Gah!..." Haku slumped forward hands on the wound. Instantly anger soared through Haku. "Foolosh Fox!" Haku then transformed his arm. It lost its shap and turned into a long leg of a human with a boot on the end. He shoot out with it and landed a kick on the underside of the fox. It missed by an inch and the boot flew off and twirled in the air and landed on Haku's head. "There! you Foolish fox you! Look what you made me do" Haku then lost his leg shape and began to cry in pain. | |

| It worked!! Midori thought to himself, triumphantly. Enigmatically enough, the being that had changed shape yet again had aimed a kick at him. Midori wasn't sure if it was his leg or his arm. Either way he got the impression that the creatre wasn't pleased with him. I do not understand...I thought that I helped him by decreasing the bloating... Midori cautiously approached once more. He didn't understand. What a strange being... He thought to himself. He didn't fear him as much now, but he understood him even less. He still had the same scent, no matter what he turned into.
Suddenly, a small band of humans approached, threateningly. One of them was carrying a large sack with him. Midori wasn't unfamiliar with this sight, as humans have tried to capture him in many locations. He didn't understand why. He wondered if it was the same way for the creature that changed forms. Midori nudged him with a paw, hoping that he would get up before the humans attempted to capture him, or maybe both if they could.

| Haku stopped tearing up and glanced at the fox. He had nudged him with his paw and was looking over eastward. "Eh?" Haku look in the same direction. He saw a large group of human walking there way with a sack. "Oh..well thats intresting." Haku got up off the ground and took his human form once more. He picked up the book and glanced at the fox. "Hmm... that sack means there trying to get something. I guess probably something to eat a..fox perhaps. I wouldnt change back though. There to close they would see...hmm" Haku slid the book into his pocket and bend down on one knee. "I have an idea. Here, crawl up on my back and act dead." Haku smiled. | |
