Kota Walked up to a great walled city. " is this the city of Edo and how did i know that who am i..." Then he heard kota a noise to the left of him.

Kota went to investigate what was cause the noise. Went he got there he saw a group of armed thugs grouping up on a traveling salesman...

Aratachi was now slowly beggining to land around the outskirts of Edo. He his his aura, so that nothing could really sence him, unless that thing to sence him were to be a god. As he began lowering down towards the outskirts of Edo, unnoticed. From the sky, he could feel a sudden amount of high spiritual energy. To high for any mortal, which made him curious, because a while ago, one of the Gods of Heaven mysteriously went missing. Could it be...? Aratachi thought to himself, feeling the high amount of energy, that was coming from within the large city of Edo.

Once Aratachi landed in the outskirts of town, where no citizen of Edo, were really located within. Aratachi quickly, changed his clothing using some of his powerful magical energy, his sword was now in what seemed to be some plain old leather sheathe. Aratachi also made himself to look like a wondering merchant, with silver hair, tied up into a long silver ponytail. Aratachi's disguise was good, the only hard thing to hide was his high amount of spiritual energy, flowing rapidly through him, compared to the common mortals around him.

As Aratachi got closer into town, leaving the outskirts, and entering the main part of the city, the first thing he noticed, was what seemed to be an innocent wolf, just standing there, he was a few feet behind the wolf, but that was when he felt a high amount of spiritual energy again, like he felt before, this time it was stronger and closer. This creature, it must be an Okami of some sort... What will it do to these thugs I wonder...? Aratachi thought, since he was the god of Judgement, this is when he began to secretly observe the wolf's actions, he quickly dashed up to the top of a building, unseen. Awaiting for the wolf to do something...

Kota walked out of the bushes growling at the thugs. "What is that?" said one of the thugs? But before any could reply kota jumped at the thugs and his runes on his face were glowing. a black line appeared on one of the thugs swords

"did i do that?" thought kota. Just then the sword broke clean in two.

" What the..." said one of the thugs. "lets get out of here." The group of thugs ran. Kota didn't pursue them but went to see what happen to the salesman. he was gone but there was a shield on the ground. Kota struggled with the strap of the shield and but it on his back. " a wolf with a shield funny." thought kota to him self. but then he smelt something familiar and went to investigate.

Aratachi who was only a few feet behind Kota, and about 20 feet above him, was suprised, he saw the poor mortals try to mess around with the "obviously" more powerful wolf and he noticed the power of the wolfs ability, it was quite similar to that of an Okami, this is when he knew, that that wolf, was surely, no ordinary wolf.

Aratachi closed his eyes calmly, he quickly opened them up, and now his vision was on "Judgement" mode. Aratachi could now clearly see, who truly had a good soul, and who truly had a bad soul... It was difficult to tell when he was using this eye ability, gifted to him, as taking the role of the Deity of truth, as well as order and balance. The only thing that changed, was that his cornea, would now be glowing red on one side, and blue on the other, in each eye. As he was staring secretly at the powerful Okami, he knew that he didn't have much time until it spotted him, or sniffed him out, so he quickly peered a look at the Okami, with the "Eyes of Truth" active, it was full of grey spiritual energy, which meant loss, or neutrality. Aratachi knew that it would be following a good path in life though, he really needed to confront it, this powerful energy just flowing on and off, getting stronger by the moment... Aratachi had a feeling that this could be a Deity, who somehow got lost in the mortal world... Aratachi's large straw hat, made a dark shade of his eyes, so you couldnt even get close to noticing any change. Quickly, he deactivated his eyes, and continued thinking of how to confront the Okami.

"Such great energy, it must be lost... It's power seems be getting stronger, because it surely isn't at its normal rate at the moment...But I can feel it flowing through the Okami..." Aratachi silently muttered to himself. "Makou, hide!" Aratachi said...now realizing that any normal merchant would not be carrying a sword in a sheath, and walking around with it, in public. Aratachi quickly, and silently, jumped down.

Aratachi approached the wolf, just standing there... Awaiting for its suprise, or response...

Kota froze. He turned around to see a sales person Behind him. He wondered why he was following him and why he seemed familiar his aura reminded him of a old friend he can't remember.

Kota looked at him for about 5 more mintues. Then turn around and in a low growl like voice he said " Who are you and why are u following me."

Aratachi slightly raised his large straw hat with his pointer finger and his thumb, as he raised it, there was still a deep shade in his eyes, but his keen golden eyes, were staring at the wolf directly. They both looked eachother directly in the eyes, it seems the Okami's power had the capacity to match Aratachi's own, he could feel it...

"Hello, you speak too...?" Aratachi said, obviously knowing the answer, then he ignored his question. In his calm and collected voice, he said "Hello, old friend... So, you are the one that went missing... You are Kota..." Aratachi said, he knew the answer, but all he saw was an expression on the Okami's face, that was still slightly confused.

"Kota, please, will you walk with me, away from the town? ...You and I, are not particulary "common" amongst mortals..." Aratachi said, himself, still looking exactly like an ordinary merchant.

"I know you may be confused, but I believe I can help you solve that mystery...You feel lost dont you? Aratachi said, very wisely.

"I can talk can anybody" said kota " and how do you know who i am and how do i know you." Kota shook his coat causing the sheild on his back to move a little. The wind started to pick up a little and dark clouds were starting to roll in.
"If we are going to Edo lets go before the rain starts" said kota walking to the city " and while we walk talk about how you know me and stuff."

"Quite stubborn, aren't you...? I wanted to go into the woods...but, no, we walk deeper into the cities..." Aratachi said, in a sarcastic tone of his calm, and collected voice.

"Well, a merchant, walking with a wolf with a shield on its back...? Fine then, you will be my "pack wolf". Aratachi said, not facing Kota, and smirking a little, with a slight smile, and walking forward deeper into the cities, Kota was to the right of him, and they both looked a little suspicious.

"Now, on to answering your questions..." Aratachi said, suddenly changing his smirk into an emotionless facial expression. "But first..." Aratachi said, reaching into his Merchant bag, he summoned with magic, a while ago. Aratachi then pulled out a larger umbrella, made up of a strong paper-like material. The rain began to pour calmly, and peacefully. There were now citizens, and other figures all around the "Merchant, and his Pack Wolf".

"I will have to be silent when speaking about this..." Aratachi said, now about to answer the Okami's questions.

"Well then, recently one of the gods of misfortune, spoke to my father, who is Izanagi..." Aratachi said very quietly, the Okami had much greater sences then a normal human, so it would have been impossible for any one to hear what they were saying. "One of the misfortune gods, Guree told my father, in his court, that one of the Grand Council members of Heaven, went mysteriously missing... I am the head of the Grand Council Chamber, so I made it my right to search for you...I could not tell, whether you were Kota at first, either... Yes, your name is Kota...You, you are the Deity of Protection..." Aratachi said, finally. "That is not all though, I still don't know the reasons behind your absence...Only, you can find that out." Aratachi said sternly.

"My father, the Emperor of Heaven, Izanagi...He was the one who brought you up, and made you a Deity...I don't believe you were always like that, I believe you used to be one of my sisters (Amaterasu the goddess of the Sun) messangers... When he made you a Deity, you did many things that helped the land, I don't know what exactly, my father may know, but, you did some amazing things for Japan, and he placed you in the Grand Council of Heaven...which is located very high in the skies, Heaven to be particular..." Aratachi said, explaining everything. The rain was getting worse, and went from calm, to rough. Aratachi and Kota noticed a hotel nearby...

They were a whiles away from the hotel. So kota yawned as the heavy rain poored dowm on them. "Why do you get the umbrellia" said kota to himself. When they reached the hotel it was bigger then it looked.

"great a bar/casino hotel now we get to meet a lot of nice druck people. said kota in a growl like tone. They walked into the hotel and went to the check in counter.
